This formula (Chai hu Shu Gan San) was first recorded in the (Zhang) Jing-yues Complete Works (jing yue quan shu) by Zhang Jie-bin (a.k.a. Jing-yue), 1624. It is commonly used for the treatment of Liver Qi constraint with Qi stagnation and Blood stasis, which manifests clinically with a variety of disorders characterized by stress or emotional strain together with pain. The formula has been enhanced with the addition of Corydalis rhizome (yan hu suo) and Curcuma tuber (yu jin), to improve its analgesic action.

Directions of use
3-6 capsules twice/day, initially you can take 6-10 capsules twice/day, then x3 capsules once to twice/ day and as needed. Best taken away from food with warm water.
